Processing in our DNA

Ni Agria is setting up new plants to process maize, sorghum, and paddy rice for local value addition.
Ni Agria has been actively involved in commodity aggregation and processing since its inception, with a focus on establishing deep supply chains around its aggregation centers. Since 2021, the following commodities have been handled at the aggregation centers in Kwali, Kebbi, and Jahun.
1

Parboiled Rice

Ni Agria operates deep supply chains to procure raw paddy directly from farms. At Ni Agria's Parboiled rice mill in Birnin-Kebbi, the paddy is cleaned, parboiled, milled, and sortexed into finished products like head rice, broken rice, and rice bran using state of the art machinery and processes.
2

Maize

A versatile cereal grain handled at Ni Agria’s aggregation centers and will be processed in an upcoming greenfield flour mill in Kaduna. It’s a key staple used in flour production, animal feed, and industrial products.
3

Sorghum

Ni Agria is the preferred B2B supplier for the biggest food and beverage processors in Nigeria. Ni Agria operates deep supply chains to procure raw sorghum directly from farms. It then cleans and sortexes it using state of the art machinery and processes to ensure the end product meets the strict quality requirements of our marquee clients.
Additionally, the company has conducted export trials for high-value commodities and spices such as sesame and ginger.
Ni Agria is also planning the establishment of new processing plants. A maize/sorghum flour mill is scheduled to be set up in Kaduna by the second quarter of 2025. Moreover, a soy processing plant (oil extraction and soymeal production) is currently in the feasibility stage, and will be located near the 100,000-ton grain storage facility in Kwali, Abuja.
